HOW TO GET A RESIDENTIAL PARKING PERMIT

1) Make sure you are eligible. You must live on:

  • Jackson between 14th & Lakeside Drive
  • Madison between 14th & 17th
  • Alice between 14th & 17th
  • 15th between Jackson & Madison
  • 17th between Alice & Madison
  • 19th (North side) between Lakeside and Jackson

If you don not live in one of these eligible areas, and would like permit parking for you street, read below:

2) Fill out the Residential Parking Permit application
You can also obtain and fill out this application in person from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 250 Frank H. Ogawa Plaza, Suite 6300 (6th floor).

3) Mail or drop off the application at:

Oakland, CA 94612

Make sure to include with your application:

  • A check made out to the "City of Oakland" for $25 (good for a one-year parking permit)
  • Copy of your vehicle registration
  • Copy of your driver's license
  • Utility bill or apartment lease showing your address within the eligible areas.
