The DLMNG strives to inform Downtown Lake Merritt residents and business owners about proposed development projects and promote the beautification and greening of our neighborhood. When we are not weighing in on proposed new buildings, the DLMNG focuses on smaller-scale neighborhood-oriented projects that improve the livability of our neighborhood (neighborhood boundary). Recent improvements include tree plantings, expanded residential permit parking and the installation of bicycle racks. We also enjoy organizing block parties, BBQ's and other fun neighborhood activities to help build a further sense of community.
